[ 13 Feb, 2025 ]
As part of the Nepal Government’s 16th Five-Year Plan for Dalit empowerment and income generation, FANSA Nepal, in collaboration with Balaju Technical Training Centre (BTTC), are training young individuals, including four from informal communities in Pokhara Metropolitan City, through a 65-day hands-on plumbing course in Kathmandu.
On February 10, 2025, BTTC, for the first time, introduced a basic septic tank installation session as part of the program, in collaboration with ENPHO’s CWIS initiative and Sanitation Innovation Project.
Mr. Sandip Sunar from Khudikhola, Ward 32, Pokhara, shared how this training not only builds technical skills for better livelihoods but also empowers young people to solve WASH service challenges in their communities.
