Civil Society Program, 58th ADB Annual Meeting

Freshwater Action Network South Asia (FANSA) was honored to co-organize and participate in the Civil Society Program of the 58th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) held in Milan, Italy.
The session titled “Engaging Stakeholders Meaningfully on Sustainable Development Projects: Lessons from Community Participatory Approaches” was jointly organized by the Partnership for Transparency Fund and FANSA, in collaboration with ADB.
Samira Shakya, representing FANSA, joined as one of the panelists, sharing insights and experiences from South Asia on community-led approaches to stakeholder engagement. The session highlighted key lessons and proposed actionable recommendations to ADB for strengthening inclusive development practices.
The program reinforced the importance of collaboration with civil society organization to drive inclusive and sustainable development across Asia and the Pacific.
