Sharing Key Findings of the study on Utilizing 15th Finance Commission

On February 26, 2024, the delegation from FANSA India, engaged in critical discussions with the high level decision making authorities in the Government of India to present the key findings and recommendations from the study on utilizing 15th Finance Commission tied grants for enhancing WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) progress in rural India.
The outcomes of these meetings were notably positive, with the government officials expressing a keen interest in the findings and suggestions put forth by the FANSA India team. They recommended conducting similar analyses at the block and district levels, and a more in-depth investigation into the needs of aspirational blocks. Furthermore, there was a mutual sharing of ideas on the need for a collaborative action between FANSA India, state governments, and other stakeholders in the sector to effectively implement the study's recommendations. These discussions marked a significant step forward in FANSA India's efforts to improve WASH facilities in rural areas and opened up new avenues for partnership and collaborative action.
