Multi-Stakeholder WASH Social Audit & Advocacy Training Workshop

The Multi-Stakeholder WASH Social Audit & Advocacy Training Workshop, unfolded on 25-26 August 2024 at the IUM Training Hall in R. Ungoofaaru, Maldives. The workshop's objective was to train stakeholders in preparing and implementing social advocacy plans, as well as conducting social audits. The event brought together 27 key stakeholders [15 Male and 12 Female], including City Council members, Women’s Development Committee members, health officers, staff from Fenaka and the Waste Management Center, NGO representatives, recent school graduates, members of the Maldives Police Service, the Ungoofaaru School Parent-Teacher Association, the school principal, and the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives. The event effectively enhanced participants' understanding of CWIS, equipped them with critical skills for social audit and advocacy, and fostered a collaborative approach to ongoing WASH advocacy within the community, leaving participants motivated and committed to future WASH initiatives by FANSA and the local community.
