Capacity building Training on Social Audits in Bangladesh

On May 27th, 2024, the Balasi Conference Room at SKS Inn, Gaibandhar, buzzed with energy as 30 enthusiastic participants gathered for a transformative day-long training on social audit. This impactful event, organized by the SKS Foundation under the "Rising for Rights" project, aimed to strengthen the skills of local civil society and champion the WASH rights of marginalized tribes.
Attendees included NGO representatives, teachers, students, journalists, women forum members, youth forum, and Dalit society representatives from Gaibandha Municipality. Together, they delved into the intricacies of social audit, an essential tool for ensuring transparency and accountability in organizational programs.
The training emphasized the importance of social analysis in enhancing municipal sanitation systems. Through interactive PowerPoint presentations and engaging exercises, participants explored how community involvement can highlight critical issues, driving good governance and improved services for all.
